DO YOU NEED A BUSINESS AWARD?

Yesterday I was a guest at IoD Kent’s table for the glittering annual black tie event, the KEIBA 2013 (Kent Excellence in Business Awards).  Up for grabs were various awards from Young Entrepreneur of the Year to SME Business of the Year. I was personally very pleased that Medway based Component Force and their Managing Director, Paul Gardner, scooped the coveted title for SME Business of the Year.  Component Force are a great example of a successful SME, and they are definitely growing and going places, both domestically and internationally.

The KEIBA evening to celebrate excellence in our Kent business community prompted me to think about how many of us need a business award as motivation.  We can’t all win awards, but we can all create positivity and enthusiasm to fire us up and spur us to a successful business day.  So, self-motivation is a self-reward and of course the more business success we generate, the more likely we are to be able to win a business award.
